Norm Harris

Mr. Harris is the founder of “The World of NASCAR” book club. Also, included among other great African-Americans and minorities in motorsports, honored by NASCAR in a television documentary aired called “Black Wheels.” The documentary aired on WRLH-35, Richmond’s Fox affiliate as well as other cities across the nation.

Mr. Harris is the only African-American NASCAR pit crew member from the Petersburg/Richmond, Va. area featured in the NASCAR documentary, which details the history of African-Americans involved in the sport at that time. The film also chronicles some of the early African-American drivers. In 2008, Mr. Harris coordinated and hosted the First Annual Diversity Awareness Day at The White House National Press Club in association with The BlackWheelz.Com Awards.
